The nightwear as going-out-wear trend has been big for a while now, but being the ever-cautious person that I am, I like to assess before I invest. Seeing different bloggers and street-style icons style the trend, I decided that the time had come to invest in something pyjama-y that I can wear outside of the comforts of my bed.
Sales are a perfect opportunity to try out a trend, because if you don’t love it, then you’ve not wasted a big chunk of your budget on something you simply don’t wear! As I usually harp on about the power of basics and neutrals, this blouse comes as a bit of a surprise to my wardrobe. But I think a modern print with staple colours can enhance your everyday fail-safes! This Zara printed blouse strikes the perfect cord between something a bit more daring versus something classic – the shades of grey, burnt orange and black ground the bold print of the shirt.
Satin and silky materials are something I’m really into ever since purchasing a black one to wear for an evening out (see the post about it here). It’s a fabric that seems to be really flattering as well as being sophisticated. I’m looking forward to wearing mine with skinny jeans and looser styles, as well as tailored trousers and skirts for evening!
