Monochrome

Remember in my last outfit post I was talking about summer evening dressing? Well this week I’ve upped-the-anti, combining these ASOS trousers with a satin blouse for a head-to-toe night out look (which I actually wore out in my local city of Manchester yesterday evening!).

I love night out ensembles that aren’t expected. I’m over short dresses, instead preferring something less predictable. Jumpsuits are great but can sometimes look a bit too ‘party’-ish, rather than something you can just go out for drinks in.

A shirt and trousers combo is a fail-safe classic, but can sometimes look a bit like workwear. Instead of a classic white shirt, the satin material of this black Mango shirt transforms the look from day to night. Black is a colour that never bores me, so I always find myself turning to monochrome for a pulled-together style!

My new Zara earrings (on SALE in stores and similar online here) seem to bring the look together, drawing in the nude shade of the shoes. Paired with my new Gucci bag (the strap adjusts to different styles which means it can be worn as a little over-the-shoulder evening bag), the outfit seemed to come together perfectly.
