The Diary of a Farfetch Addict : A Confession
This is a confession as much as it is a diary entry. I must get it off my chest. It weighs heavily. Well, actually, it doesn’t because I’m teaching myself a new #noguilt policy as instructed by my newly acquired self-help manual.
Back to my confession. The jig is up. I must hold myself accountable to it: my name is Lydia and I am a Farfetch addict. A penchant for a designer items I have. I am guilty.
It’s their vintage section that has done it to me, sent me into this incontrollable state, I mean. Yves Saint Laurent double breasted blazers, Louis Vuitton totes, Hermès vintage scarves… Oh, the heart swoons!
I keep getting a vision, diary, I must explain it to you!
*I’m striding through the city, blow-dried locks flowing like a Herbal Essences ad (Mel from the salon did it because she does the best curly blow dries) and I’m heading to the chicest bar for drinks with Fabio (don’t know who Fabio is but he fits well with the vision). And guess what? I’m wearing the Chanel 1982 chain necklace from Farfetch!* – The vision isn’t complete without it.
I’ve heard through the grapevine that if you keep envisioning something then you have to just go with it, which is why I’m going to get it so that I can clear my mind. It really is distracting me from work… Whatever it takes to be more productive!
The following Tuesday, PM
Diary, my life is transformed!
I took the plunge and invested in the Chanel necklace of dreams. No outfit looks complete unless I’m wearing it! I have been cavorting it everywhere I go, gold chain details sparkling to the world. I even wore it to get milk because it can really boost your mood on a dreary Monday evening.
Paired with a simple LBK (little black knit, a term I have just coined and must remember to use more often) and tailored trousers elevates the look into other realms. I’m a strong believer that little luxury touches go a long way… My Chanel proves me right!
Now all that’s left to complete my vision is to just find a Fabio. I wonder if Farfetch stocks him too…?
