Okay so for those of you who have noticed, I’ve been slightly MIA on the old blogging-front. One of the reasons being that, of course, I’m in the final year of my degree and my dissertation deadline is straight after Christmas (arrgghhh!), but another is that I’ve been totally lacking inspiration in terms of posting.
Knowing that the blogging-market is so saturated, there is constant advice to ‘be different’ and ‘create a niche’ in this fast-paced world of fashion. And while I constantly had this advice gnawing away at me, and knew that my blog was perhaps lacking some individuality, I couldn’t think of anything ‘new’ to bring to the table.
But, eventually, about six months into blogging, I had a creative brainwave which will hopefully have to power to not only bring a wider audience to my site, but that will also inspire me a lot more too. And hopefully, the more I’m enjoying my content, the more it will show through to readers too! Telling you how many ways to style a winter coat was beginning to wear a bit thin for me, so I can’t imagine what it is like to read (especially as there are so many other blogs/magazines/online platforms talking about the same things!).
So, what is there to be expected in 2017? Well, my main aim is going to be centred around the style of writing: changing the way I write my posts to hopefully be something funnier, more relatable and not so serious! I’ve said from the start that I always take the fashion industry with a pinch of salt – it’s never going to be something that saves the world, so let’s just have a bit of fun with it! With a fresh way of writing will also come a slightly new layout, so expect my page to be down for maintenance for a few days whilst I rejig a few things!
I can’t wait to bring you along on my new adventures, but for now…
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
